Ripe, round, juicy...nice early drinking blend. Zoom virtual tasting with Rowdy Wallace. The on-line Wine Berserker society comes together weekly on Saturday’s for wine, jazz, and community. The wines are worthy, the community is becoming part of the new “normal”. Thank you Rowdy... for your wines and your passion! Stay safe my brothers and sisters. This too shall pass and we shall be stronger. — 5 years ago
Excellent raw oyster and hibuscusy leather smell, so good and approachable, nice purple that’s dark, acid and structure sit there and leather creeps forward in shelfy layers that hits like 60% through the sip, bit then leave a coated bodied finish that stays and lingers as if a bubble of it is here to stay, raspberry, also totally admitting I just made my version of pad Thai with a lot of cilantro and it’s unreal combo wise — 7 years ago
Big cassis on the nose and palate with nice acidity to back up strong fruit. Tannins are smooth and hold on moderately. This could sit for a while and stay rad. — 8 years ago
What a wine, one to have in your cellar for sure. Tonight I have opened the 2018 Château Branaire-Ducru Saint-Julien. A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose is dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, chocolate, herbal notes, tobacco, violats, vanilla and dark earth.
On the palate is dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, herbaceousness, cedar, graphite, sweet tobacco and earth.
This beautiful wine is full bodied with a smooth silky mouthfeel, medium+ acidity and medium+ grippy mouthcoating tannin that fills your mouth with a long black & blue fruit earthy finish. This wine has a long life and can sit in your cellar for 20+ years. Keep enjoying the weekend and stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Saturday and all the landscaping is done. Time to sit down, open some wine and kick my feet up. I have opened the 2015 Le Volte Dell' Ornellaia 67% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Sangiovese.
The nose is showing red fruits, cherry, strawberry, plum, red currants, rose petals, anise, green peppercorn, spice, brick and earth.
The palate is also showing the red fruit, tart cherry, tart strawberry, red currant, plum, spice, bell pepper, anise, anise and earthy notes.
This wine is medium to full bodied with medium + acidity and smooth round medium + tannins that lead to a long clean finish. A beautiful young wine that can age or drink now and a great QPR. Have a great holiday weekend, play hard and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 years ago
This one needs to sit for a few more years. Or stay in the decanter for 12 hours. I am determined to keep the last two bottles till 2026. — 8 years ago
Tonight the night before NewYears Eve I have opened the 2012 Domaine Les Pins Cuvée les Rochettes Bourgueil. 100% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose therr is some strange corked wet newspaper that the more I allow it to sit and open up those aromas tend to blow off. After letting set for awhile brambly fruit comes through with, ripe strawberry, cherry, raspberry, tomato, chard oak, peppery earth and crushed gravel.
The palate is very nice with strawberry coming through, tart cherry, raspberry, green bell pepper, herbs and crushed gravel.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins that has a longtart fruit crushed gavel finish. Tomorrow starts the New Year weekend and lets bring this bad boy 2020 to an end. Enjoy yourselves and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago
Lovely silky deep purple that will make your Robitussin (and any other purple or grape concoction in existence) jealous. On the dry side, with “dark fruit” of maybe cherry, blueberry, blackberry, some smoothing vanilla...and don’t forget that oak. This one hits home with the oak, which is nicely balanced in a blend of several of the best red wine styles...and I’m happy to report that it isn’t too much of a good thing! Balanced alcohol as well. This is a mature red blend that taunts all the big players. Stay away if you’re looking for a lighter “more fun” blend. Otherwise, sit back and let this mesmerizing Pendulum adjust your equilibrium. Avoid the food distraction and you’ll be jumping on & swinging in no time. — 5 years ago
Relaxing on the patio on the close of a fabulous first day of our "stay-cation"! This wine is a great way to end the evening. It's floral-sweet notes perfectly complement the sweet scent of the roses on the summer evening air as we sit on the patio. — 7 years ago

Love the tiny bottles to prevent wasted wine when you just want a glass or two! Very yum — 2 years ago
