Excellent example of a northern #Rhône #syrah deep ruby color still youthful, six years after vintage. on the nose, leather black pepper, plum, tart, red cherry, some dark chocolate notes, toast. on the pallet full-bodied, medium+ acidity for fine slightly green tannins finishes long, but I find it a little bit grippy and coarse and bitter, so if it were a little bit smoother and juicy. Yeasty citrus depth and sparkly tangerine highlight a lovely, folded, silky mushroom lining providing a very pleasant push and pull with ossetra’s nutty buttery-ness. Arbor fruits bob along the mousse reflective.
Did the tricks and picked up ribbons. Great mechanics.
