A moving target of taut and focused energy counterbalanced by a mild but weighty texture. Incredibly saline despite its Mediterranean and herb-kissed accents. Sea spray, balmy yellow fruit, pear skin, white flowers, dried herb, almond and crushed stone. Singular for sure. Broiled grouper w/ broccoli rabe, garlic, calabrian chili, lemon and roasted potato was a great match — 4 years ago
One of the most COMPLETE single estate, 100% PV in my cellar. Checks all the boxes: taste, texture, tannin, and tenacity ;) Nice work, Katie! Yes, your PV is as good or better than Jim’s. I know you were aiming for that target. — 5 years ago
Pretty good, target — 6 years ago
Bought at Target and really enjoyed. Crisp, a bit tart, and fiesty, not a just chill white wine — 6 years ago
The aroma is right on target. — 7 years ago
The 1998 Clarendon Hills Grenache presents on the nose with the gravity of a notable moment in history. It’s a vintage you would rather experience on the nose for hours. Bramble and blackberries are prominent on the nose.
This vintage isn’t past it’s prime but it’s best to drink soon. I sense this wine will begin to decline over the next several years.
At first this vintage offers a fantastic array of plum notes and leather bound novels on the palate. Well-structured tannins target the gums and complement the dark fruits. The experience on the back palate is temporal but magnificent with gravel and soil characterizing the texture — 7 years ago
A gift from a friend and my first taste of a "luxury branded wine designed to fit your lifestyle"(their marketing 😂)....I might not be their target customer since I live in a small bungalow home in Sacramento, but I'll give it the ole swirl/sniff/sip/spit anyways.
1 hour decant (lots of cloudy sediment). On the nose: very aromatic notes of black cherry, nutty vanilla, charcoal, cedar, floral. Taste: smooth, silky, rich teeth staining wine with blackberry pie, licorice, black currants, dark chocolate, pepper and a LONG dry finish.
Not feeling the luxury, just a well made Napa cab like a couple hundred others out there. Cheers!
Tusk..."because there are those who regard luxury and those who live it"...sounds like a deodorant commercial tag line😆 🤣 — 3 years ago

In our binary world- this is a feminine format. Pinot weight and body with East Coast fruit expression. Nice aromatics couple with punchy acidic flow. The type of plummy acid that make the mouthfeel “float” with a grace more impactful than the actual fruit. Compelling, especially with the right cuisine ;) 1 bottle remains - target 2026? 91 pt because it’s NC and relatively weighted — 5 years ago
Target. Bear rating 9/10. Not a lot of scent, maybe some black cherry. Taste: a little dry, dark blackberry and cherry, but a little bit of bitterness I like a lot. It’s good. — 6 years ago
Fantastic Cabernet savion. Very good on the next day. Very smooth and tasty. A little fruit forward but not too much. — 7 years ago
Excellent balance, great fruit quality, right on target. — 7 years ago
A little spicey, not as smooth because of the cognac barrels. Slight fruit, a little bitter on aftertaste. No peat. $85 at target (a bit pricey) might get it if it were in the $50s. — 4 years ago

Bought at Target. Very drinkable — 5 years ago
There are times when the only thing that will do the trick is an old-school Chenin. And boy was this on target. Positively crackling with acidity, citrus pith and pear, quince and crushed quartz all vibrating with energy in the mouth. You’d never guess this was a 9 year-old wine. Fresh as a daisy and utterly compelling. — 5 years ago
Target. Bear rating 8.9/10. Really easy drinking. Light—cherry and strawberry flavor. Slightest hint of bitterness. Could finish a bottle myself, easily. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Wow. A wonderful nose of blackberry bramble, hence, my favorite Pinot nose.
Wild, ripe strawberry, green pepper, a touch of coriander, some starch, and a hint of lemon zest at the end. This has one of the oddest corks I have ever pulled, with a plastic capsule on one end, and a target, like one see on the bottom of a sale tasting cup, on the other end.. — 7 years ago
Loved! Light, not super tart. Get it again! No longer at world market. Found at target — 7 years ago

On target and in the window. What I have drank of Pauillac this was lighter in its feet but the blackberry tobacco cigar wrapper with some nice tannins and acid. This could probably go longer but glad I opened it. — a year ago
