Rich and very glyceric, waxy while at the same time acidic and juicy like other #verdicchioclassico — 3 years ago
Unusual! From Le Marche. Medium bodied, ruby-purple color, not super dry, nice acids, medium–light tannins. Rose, violet, prune, stewed strawberries, vanilla, some baking spice. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 03/07/21

The 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Misco is wonderfully perfumed and lifted, presenting an herbal-tinged bouquet of wet stones, chlorophyll and green apples. This sleek and racy effort sends waves of mineral-tinged orchard fruits and hints of sour citrus across the palate, all guided by brisk acidity. Sour melon and inner florals resonate throughout the mouth-watering finish as a caking of minerality slowly cracks and crumbles. (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2024)

2022 vintage: Blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese; deep purple with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, red cherry, ripe strawberry forest floor, slight herbal aroma. Palate of sour cherry, bramble fruits, a mossy component, tannin is medium and of soft character, medium acidity; length is med plus; alcohol just high 14 percent but not overpowering; good balance; very food friendly. Eaten with a burger; sub 20$ great value — 14 days ago
