Another interesting one. Would have guessed it was a young big year Oregon Pinot. — 3 years ago
Empty bottle shot? Yes, it was that good.
It’s too bad you can’t see the lovely transparent, but electric Fuschia color. Lots of time in contact with the skins — 12 hour maceration and lovingly foot tread prior to press, so drinks more like a light red than a white. There’s real Pinot fruit and Santa Cruz mountain character here: strawberries, rose hips, stones, fresh herbs, cool breezes blowing through the redwoods. Many layers. Rosé of the summer. — 3 years ago

I think this is my favorite wine I've ever drank. Period. No lies. 15/10 — 3 years ago
Revisiting this first release of Fenaughty Vineyard Syrah 2 years later and I really like where it’s headed. Less fresh and crunchy and more resolved and elegant, showing its depth and layers. fleshy black cherry, strawberry, pastille, dried herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, incense and a granitic note. Reminiscent of Cru Beaujolais more than northern Rhone. 12.6% abv. An intriguing alpine California Syrah and an ideal pairing with rustic Berkeley-bought, French-inspired fare. — 3 years ago
