Craigellachie

Aged 13 Years Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the most fascinating single malts I’ve ever had. This is not for beginners. It’s oily and industrial in the best way, with notes of grain, honey and oak. I liked it a lot, but it felt incomplete, maybe a little one note. Certainly not an everyday drinker, but it was definitely educational. I’m looking forward to trying some of their alternative barrel offerings. — 8 months ago

Aberlour Distillery

16 Years Old Double Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Has a high fruit forward nose, apples, pears, kiwi. Faint, faint, vanilla and oak but still really fruit forward. — 2 hours ago

Bruichladdich

The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley Unpeated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A really fantastic summer scotch with notes flowers, grass, yeast, and freshly picked grains. It really jumps out of the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d expect more from a champagne or beer. Not super deep or rich, but that’s what makes it refreshing. Good deal too. — 7 months ago

Very smoky nose, initially honey on the tongue but then into more tangy peat. — 25 days ago

21 Years Old Gran Reserva Rum Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21yr - Light, sweet nose. Short pour which might affect. I’m getting a bit of plastic on the flavor. Sweet, light finish. — 3 months ago

This is a great tipple as the weather cools down in the Southern Hemisphere. From Islay with plenty of peat and smokiness. A maritime seaweed note. Some say Laphroaig is even more peaty but for me, the jury is still out on that one. — 8 months ago
