Somewhere between 8.9 and 9.0. Nice peach, apricots, vanilla pudding and lemon. Oak lends more to a "creaminess"; does not show awkward buttery aftertaste. Grocery store selection (2nd bottle this month) 😱.

On a lovely pre-spring eve, with a first sighting of bats 🦇 this Rhône rose is complete perfection👌🏼with a shrimp & salad snack. — 2 years ago
This might be the last summer type evening on the deck! Picked an enjoyable deck sipper! Fruity with mild spices! Simple wine...happy...not detecting mega purple!
I am practicing restraint...pulled to many wines early over the last several months! 😕
Also trying to adhere to my rule ...if you had wine the night before..do not pull something special! At my age taste buds remain compromised the day after!, 🤔
Who is still getting hummingbirds? Saw two today, sighting down a lot! — 5 years ago
@Delectable App this is not in your Data base! Napa Valley not Rutherford...a little befuddled at this label! Previous wines read "Rutherford" on the label this just reads Napa Valley. Per Provenance web page the later is correct but states this CS was sourced from Rutherford and Calistoga! James Suckling rated this wine a 94..Bravo!
I have always enjoyed Provenance Vineyard wines, presents a nice mix of New and Old style..factor in this is under $50..a great bottle!

Subtle currant and blackberry on the nose, something vegetal, maybe green pepper. Black pepper spice. Velvety tannins with a little juicy end. Even better as it opens up. — 4 years ago
Tiva wasn't wild about it, but I loved it. Dry rose with a nice slight briny saltines on the palate. Very good. — 6 years ago
Another awesome tasting at the weekly Wine Committee. Always such a treat when I get invited to taste such wonderful wines blind! Got to taste with Weston, the owner of Montagu, as he attends these fairly often. Should of known there would be a Montagu sighting!
It's no secret I love Montagu. It's been great seeing the quality of each vintage build upon itself, and it was the first time I'd tasted the '13 and '14 back to back. Montagu has been trying a few different vineyards for their chards, but the difference in no malolactic fermentation ('13) vs malo ('14) is becoming more clear. Love the purity of the '13. It was hard guessing these as they were whites 1 and 3, with a curveball for number 2! — 9 years ago

Rare sighting. Lucky to drink them side by side. Both a bit young and powerful with so much aging potential. Massetino is mostly Merlot with some Cab Franc. Masseto is all Merlot. Distinctly different though. Massetino being the more robust and Masseto being the more elegant. Then again. So much potential. — 2 years ago
