Patchwork Chardonnay 2022

Don’t have to stretch to come up with the right notes. Just plain delicious. Sweet, nutty, and vibrant. Dans Paris, l’anniversaire de mom&dad — 2 days ago

Bugey Extra Dry Gamay Mondeuse Rosé 2019

Great value, extra dry, dark color. Nice Champagne substitute. Went well with spicy Cantonese: Mapo Potatoes and Sook Mei Faan. — 4 months ago

D.D. Arbois Poulsard Blend 2018

2018 vintage…enjoyed with homemade Shepards Pie. It paired nicely, wine was light with hints of currants and a lingering finish. — 2 months ago

Singulier Trousseau 2019

Perfect wine for a cold evening in front of a roaring fire. Quite complex throughout with a clean ruby red color and layered aromas and flavor profiles. Starts with some pencil shavings and spice but eventually opens to a more fruit forward place with red berries taking precedent. Pomegranate, cranberry, and raspberry with some strawberry too. All of them seem to come and go with each sip and savor. Good acidity provides nice structure with the tart berry flavors but medium to low tannins keeps it pretty fresh and young. — 4 months ago

Benedicte & Stephane Tissot Chateau-Chalon Vin Jaune Savagnin 2014

Widly complex, expectedly concentrated on the palate, and super intense on the nose. You could even smell it from across the room. Heaps of nuts, dried apricots, curry leaves, and iodine, along with hints of baked lemons, chamomile, yeast, and vinegar. Huge palate weight with enamel-melting acidity. It was rich, salty, spicy, nutty, and savoury. Frankly, the wine was way too young and certainly “too much” to drink alone, but with some 36-month Comte, it was just magical. — 2 months ago

Bénedicte & Stéphane Tissot En Spois Vin Jaune Arbois Savagnin 2016

The lightest and most accessible of Tissot’s single-vineyard Vin Jaune bottlings. Savagnin from young vines rooted in Trias soils. Delicate nose reminiscent of a Fino. Mineral, saline — 5 months ago
