Very dry but very smooth. Full bodied with a hint of berry. Very enjoyable — 3 months ago
Aroma is woody. Long barrel aging. Lots of cocoa and vanilla with those lovely tobacco, pepper, and a kiss of smoke. Then the fruit aromas kick in with plum and currant. Definitely more of a medium body and a stronger acidity with a nice oak tannic finish. Of the more moderate body zins the heavy oak makes this one more favorite. — 4 months ago
From the oldest vineyard in Oakville near Harlan, 14 different grapes in a field blend, very aromatic and pretty, juicy red and dark fruited, long finish, very nice!! To be released 10/28/25.. — a month ago
Holy shit. Sheeeit.
Nose: utterly explosive. Lemon peel. Lemon oil. Stony. Blasty white flowers.
Palate: sweet lemon. Mineral. Acidic blast. Delicious.
$30ish.
Blind this is Grand cru. Is has the density. The complexity. Better than most grand crus.
What a winemaker !

A stunning wine! Cedar, black currants, fig, dark chocolate, and truffles. Deep purple with a fabulous finish. — 2 months ago
A big wine in a big bottle that made a big group of friends very happy. The 2017 Evangelho Heritage (from magnum) is energetic with loads of sweet dark fruit. It doesn’t lack zing even though this year’s blend is short in Carignan — there are nice balancing acids and mild tannins. It is richer and riper than many vintages but still vibrant. — 6 months ago

Tested in at Coppola’s restaurant and bought in a wine shop in Mendocino. Had the 2022 vintage in october 2025 paired with pork. Strong and very testy. — 5 days ago
