Saw the other note about Big Top— this bottle also from Big Top some years ago for $6. It started out rough, but after 30-40 minutes it’s pretty darn amazing. — 4 years ago

Business in the front, party in the back Friulan style. Intense aromatics of sage, beeswax, kiwi, fennel pollen, yellow blossom, honeydew, hay. On the palate, a little peach Bellini action (ripe peach yet never sweet). Really complex, lovely wine. Needs San Danielle prosciutto to make it super special. — a year ago
Dry, well balanced — 3 years ago

See previous Note. Old plummie, red cherry notes. Barb said dusty and pine needles. A cooler vintage. I said red cherries and freshly tilled loam. As Galloni said “In 2010 Ama did not bottle their single vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.” Tasting more the quality of a Brunello than a Chianti Classico. No. 6 in Wine Spectators Top 100 for 2015. — 5 months ago
