Landgraf von Hessen is now known as Prinz von Hessen, but the estate is the same. Bone-dry, sleek and saline, it cries out for smoked salmon or even a soft cheese. Drink now. It won't improve. #LandgrafvonHessen #PrinzvonHessen #1989 #Riesling #Kabinett — 9 years ago
2019. Pop of huge Meyer lemon. Unrip Pineapple-mango and dried mango. High viscosity for a dry. Clean acidic finish. — 4 years ago
Tasty, earthy, spicy Sankt Laurent from Rheinhessen. — 7 years ago
Fruity but dry. Refreshing with notes of pear. Great summer wine. — 8 years ago
Really good and bone dry. — 5 years ago
Reminiscent of good quality Chambolle with a touch more flesh and pliancy. This is stupid good for the price, when I’m old I’ll be bitching about how cheap this was back in the day. High toned, crunchy, deeply earthy and loaded with ripe red/black fruit. The finesse is there. Black cherry, wild strawberry, rhubarb compote, black tea, wildflowers, wet leaves, undergrowth, spice. Again, the elegance coupled with the perfume and harmony this carries really delivers. — 6 years ago

This is good rose. I tend to like purpose made rose because you can drink them on their own and they stand up to food as well. This is that kind of rose. Structure, not fruity, clean finish and balanced. Enjoyed over 3 days. Nice find at Sunshine Market in St Helena. — a year ago
