Steady State Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Seemed big on the alcohol for 14.5% to start but mellowed out nicely as time went on. I only bought one bottle to try because of the winemaker background and am sorry I didn’t get more. Oh well…always something else new on the horizon. — 3 months ago

Old Vine Zinfandel

Blueberry and peppery aromas. Blueberry, plum, spices. Fresh and more vibrant than other recent zins. Had with Vicia roast chicken and wheat berry sal and charred broc. Dinner was subpar. But wine was even better 2 hours later. — 4 years ago

Definitely worth trying. Split decision at our house; I like it, she loves it. Either way we’ll have it again. — 5 years ago

California Syrah 2021

Another back the truck up year for Bedrock’s QPR leader! The ‘21 has classic syrah fruit and spice, a nice hint of oak and a fine line of acidity to bring it together. Plus you get a bit of some of the best Syrah vineyards in the Golden State. — 2 years ago

Orange Blossom Mandarin Wheat

It smells and tastes of mandarin, it’s lightly alcoholic, it’s a pleasant light wheat beer, lightly hopped, when it’s hot and you are dehydrated, which happens in the desert six months of the year, this is a better option than any sports drink. Sure, no electrolytes here, but it tastes a dang sight better than those sports ades. And orange blossoms? Very Arizona. Drink local — 4 years ago

Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale

Todays lunch and brew. Belgium style wheat ale, cloudy, white head that dissipates quickly, brewed with coriander and orange peel.

The plumper hot dogs are made by Fred Usinger Sausage Co. Milwaukee, Wi. Absolutely the finest that can be found.

Rorick Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

This wine is juicy. It has a wonderful juicy, vanilla, smooth aroma and taste. It has some vanilla notes and it's smooth but not buttery like in some Chardonnay. It's very fruit forward with peach flavors lingering after the finish. I'm surprised by this Chardonnay, wonderfully surprised. It is so good! I feel likenthe wine ages as you drink it, so you'll experience wondeful different flavors as you drink.

Color: Yellow, golden, wheat color like Chardonnay. Beautiful gold like a ome would expect in a gold carrier bracelet.

Aroma: lovely kinda sweet, creamy, vanilla aroma with some peach aromas. Smells quit fruit forward and like juice ripe fruit mixed in a creamy vanilla. But it doesn't smell sweet like dessert. There's some toasty aromas like Graham crackers. It smells absolutely delicious, you just can't wait to dive in.

Taste:
There's some nice acid that gives a little shock to the jaw as your tongue is loving layer with a smooth, vanillay flavor. The flavor gently fades away in the finish. It feels like you've bitten into a wonderful ripe piece of summer fruit like a juicy peach and tangerine. It's a clean refresh finish when chewed. As the wine airs, it gets gently bitter like an orange peel.

Howell Mountain Merlot 2016

Jan A
9.3

Could not resist to try one. Some critics state wait until 2021 till even 2026, others state drink now. So double decanted. Typical heavy merlot nose. Dark fruit, scented wood, gravel, pencil shavings on the palate. Drying tannins that coat the mouth. Upside potential to 94-95 when the tannins from the new oak have settled down. Will try the next bottles after 2023. Now 93+ — 4 years ago

Can not believe someone suggest to drink such a monster now. Even the next 5 years is way to early. I drink my 95 and 96 Jota now with still fruit in it. I think they even have upswing potential
