Went really well with duck breast. Has effervescence combined with an almost “meaty” flavor. Exotic and yet I kept coming back for more… — 5 months ago

Great way to finish a two-week business trip in New York. Paired well with duck confit. — 10 months ago
Dang nice wine. Subdued on the nose. Pretty garnet color. Incredible full mouthfeel with loam leather a hint of raspberry but more like boysenberry or black raspberry. My vote is drink now or soon. Pairing with Copper River salmon wild rice and crispy salad. — 5 months ago
The color of the 2000 Pignan is a brilliant pale ruby color and slightly cloudy. Noticeably lighter in complexion than the others in the CdP flight. Yep…it has that scintillating, heady nose that is so unique to Rayas. Pine needles, wild strawberries, cardamom…woof. This bottle had some VA but I didn’t mind. Perhaps not the most exciting Rayas but I’m splitting hairs here. A very nice pairing with cassoulet, Toulouse sausage and duck confit. Drink now and through 2035. Merci Matt! — 8 months ago

What a pair w/ Crostini, Chervil Sheep Cheese & Duck Confit. 👌
Dark, juicy, lush to mid fruit core, dark cherries, strawberries, hues of blueberries, raspberries, limestone, softened granitic earth, deeper red cola, black & red licorice, baseball card bubble gum, understated fresh herbs, dark, rich, sweet earth, hints of maple syrup, tree bark w/ sap, dark & red florals for days, excellent, round acidity and a well made, balanced, relaxed tension, polished, lush finish that lasts 90 seconds. Delicious.
This is better than some premier cru red burgundies for far less $.
