As rule of thumb, yes, but not always… for example, 2003’s, I don’t think I’ve tasted a good Napa wine from that vintage. This is not to say that there aren’t any good wines, just that I haven’t tasted any.
I agree, @Eric Urbani. I used to be a heavy user of Winebid. At the right price, you can snag some great values. Also, I have some great Napa cabs from the 17 vintage. Good producers like Larkmead tend to deliver, regardless of the vintage. Not sure I’ll hold what 17’s I have for much longer tho.
