German Syrah from Ziereisen so good. What the f. Why did I just buy 3 bottles? Scott will try the second one with you. Ultra elegant. 12.5%. Blueberry, cherry and spice? Amazing as this opens up. Next time might get a case. — 19 days ago

Gummibären on Steroids.
Bone dry 12.5%. with a ton of minerality and good acidity. This German Muskat from the slope of the Black Forest just rocks. Fresh grapes, over the top peach, guava, passionfruit, touch bitter and a surprising amount of tannins. The village where this comes from Durbach is unique since it is typically known for their Rieslings grown on decomposed Granite soils. What an incredible example for this grape. Dare I say we might be blessed that Lyle imports these little known gems? — 24 days ago
13.2%. A perpetual favorite. This vintage seems more fruit driven compared to previous renditions. Quite dark. Cherries, raspberries, cranberries and some tea notes, well integrated tannins and dare I say “smooth” mouthfeel. Sadly/unfortunately in a different prize range compared to a decade ago. 75$ or so. Seems high to me. — 24 days ago
Tried 3 times over the last 4 weeks. This is still a winner (sometimes I need to backtrack - wtf was I thinking but not here). Powerful tannins - but comes across as light and elegant with 10+ years aging potential. A ton of fruit even after 10 years. Mostly cherry 🍒. Roses 🌹, leather, violets 😈, touch Fernet-Branca. Will cellar some and that says it all. — 6 days ago
13.4%. There is a new generation of young winemakers often couples in the Santa Barbara and San Louis Obispo region and many make incredible wines taking full advantage of the many different grapes grown in this truly unique wine region. This is 60% Albariño / cofermented with 40% Sauvignon blanc. Is a beautiful summer wine. Super crisp and crunchy, green apple (some), touch almond, 🍋 and a hint of bitterness make this a fantastic companion to sea food or on its own. Santa Barbara Uni anyone? — 9 days ago
Tasted at Bells in Los Alamos a ⭐️ Restaurant. More or less like a Meursault for much less and on the list for just 80$ an incredible deal at a Restaurant. Lemon, lemon curd, some stone fruit (apricot?) hint tangerine. — 24 days ago
No formal notes but in the end this did not convince me just to much sulfur and band aid. I guess my standards for Pinot are just to high. — 7 days ago
Like a top shelf Meursault but 50% off @ $42. Kiss of oak, touch Hazelnut. Mineral driven, lemon meringue. An exceptional Chard. Read the other reviews on different vintages they the reviews are solid no BS there! Chard from the right German producer blows the French out of the water for the price point they have right now. — 8 days ago

At the Santa Barbara Wine Collective - what a cool place in the « Funk Zone ». First of all just 13.4%. kudos to the braveheart wine makers. Yes it does have a ton of fruit and is recognizable as CA Pinot. BUT! Insanely smooth (sorry). Tea leaves. Black tea, touch bitter. Bright, fresh and engaging. A wine which makes you think. Prune plum. So juicy. Perfect camping wine! Finally what does whole berry mean? Is there a half berry? 😂 — 6 days ago
