For PINOTs at a reasonable price Germany is now the way to go! This one for just 21$ really surprised me. Light, elegant but at the same time with nice complexity. High rating - because of its price point. — 5 days ago
Orange wine. I tend to like these but not this one! Couldn’t find he vintage but would avoid. Too much Brett. Dried Apricot and quite bitter. — 5 days ago
At a party. 13.7%. Super fruit driven. Super süffig. Juicy. Blackberry and touch of cherry galore. Not my thing. — 3 days ago
Well German Chard easily beats the French white Burgh counterparts on a complexity/price ratio! Just a few are „In the know“ and the wines are stupid cheap for what they offer - good for me! The only quality importer is Lyle Fass. This wine is quite rare. Already turning dark yellow in the glass.
Stinky on the nose which blows off. Very complex. Tons of stuffing! May be even too rich? Great now but can go 5+ years. Lemon, complex citrus, lemon curd, rich. A ton of character! Touch of wood. Burned Hazelnuts. Very classy and special „I wish you where here…“ Will run this through my self-built (high quality) Argon line not the BS stuff wine shops have - and drink throughout the week in small increments. Even better than previously tested. I will make a case in point and will sample more German Chards for - all of you guys out there in 2026. May be importers will take notice. — 4 days ago
40 bucks. Austere and oxidized in the dispensing machine @ the wine house in LA (so why is it still in the machine?) - But i suspect even fresh this is a NO. — 5 days ago
110$!!! Big. Mostly Citrus driven. But with a touch of cork. I must say that I am astounded that even professionals (Such as the folks at The Wine House) can miss things before they put the bottle on the dispensing machine. — 5 days ago
Quite oxidized. Little going on. Like all my 2010‘s from this producer lousy. — 3 days ago
I don‘t know. This has so much oak it overpowers everything. Might need another 10 years to be approachable. Cigar box, black berries. Deep, big and profound. I am not sure I would spend 70$ on this. It needs much much more time. Probably needs to be open for 2 days. Out of the machine at the Wine House in LA. — 5 days ago
Easy sipping but not more. In the past I found the occasional good bottle from this inexpensive producer but not this one. Strawberry, faint cherry. Light on its feet. 52$ is too much for this. — 5 days ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
Much more on the tropical side compared to the Puligny from the same producer and about the same price. 100-120$. Same year and village level. I think this baby fat will go away over time. Otherwise this is flawless. Incredibly well crafted perhaps even too much so. Limes more classic than meyer, touch white peach. I can’t even get my head around the 11 attributes described by a professional of this wine. What is lemon chiffon???? Anyways in the end oh so subtle jasmine perks up. World class really but at a price! In the end i prefer the Puligny. And after this white Burgh splurge might need to go back to my all time favorite white - dry Riesling. — 2 days ago
