The Ojai Vineyard - Camp 4 Vineyard - Santa Barbara County - Vermentino - 2021
Superb Santa Barbara County Fruit, Fruit is round and expertly ripe. Those in the know, know Camp 4 Vineyard.
Santa Barbara Terroir on the nose. Sight is greenish yellow. Medium+-Full body. Acidity is medium, keeping things early summer quenchable and drinkable without being bracing, and retaining the fun summer fruitiness without being bonkers. Flavor profile has a bit of grass, hay, and white peach notes. Delicious. Multi-bottle purchase. Highly recommend making a reservation for tasting if planning a trip to Ojai.
So far, for the limited amount of Vermentino in CA, and the ones I have been lucky enough to come across, This is my favorite still wine Vermentino (yes, theres sparkling out there too)

Start your vacation in Vancouver with a glass of this wonderful Pinot Noir or open a bottle wherever you are and imagine you’re smelling the breeze off the sea , the scent of the pine, and the sunset that doesn’t finish in the summer. — 2 years ago
This wine has notes of a saline sea breeze on the nose. Crazy as it seems maybe even like a salt marsh. Maybe a little tart cherry there as well. Very pleasant and refreshing. This is a very pleasing, elegant style rose. Enjoyed on the back patio on a summer Sunday evening. — 2 years ago

Yup, score is definitely influenced by the view. That aside this classic Argentine Malbec is perfect for pizza dinner. Bold, acidic, tannic and slightly fruity. — 2 years ago
