Domaine Ballot-Millot & Fils

Meursault Chardonnay 2019

Pop and pour...probably should have let my btls rest longer, but I lack discipline. Purchased from the domaine and delivered recently. Notes from 2 hrs open. On the nose: lemon, lemon oil, wet stone, lovely tang.... On the palate: fantastic acidity, lovely density, excellent length..grapefruit, lemon, stone, salt, and so juicy. — 3 years ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

What is better with a 1.75” medium rare steak and an Idaho baked potato? A super dry, dense, heavily oaked Napa cab! I was glad I decanted the wine before we went to a dance recital of our granddaughter. Upon our return 2.5 hours later, the coarse tannins had been beaten into submission and opened up into pleasant flavors of cigar box, cedar and old spice and fully integrated with dark, dry blackberry, pie cherry and mulberry. It was a feast! — 3 years ago

Arnaldo-Caprai

Collepiano Sagrantino di Montefalco 2016

Indicates its potential. A bit young, but already delicious and bold! It will be hard to keep in the cellar. — 3 years ago

Château Prieuré-Lichine

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Oak, baking spices , nutmeg and coriander up front. Middle tones of earthy tobacco and overripe fig. Sage and eucalyptus. Just the right hint of smoke to tease you. Beautiful lush and silky tannins give way to beautiful fruit. Cassis and medium acidity. Great long lasting finish. At 13.5% this is absolutely perfect showing. — 3 years ago

Delish. This particular vintage of CPL is high-maintenance. Demanding but wild. The '18 arguably better but less flighty and exciting.

Sono Montenidoli

Tradizionale Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2019

Bought for making risotto but ended up loving it! Lot of minerality and slight pear taste. Pretty refreshing and crisp — 3 years ago

Very enjoyable right now. Enticing black fruit aromas. BlackBerry, plum, vanilla, and tar notes. Very good! Decanted for a hour. — 3 years ago
