Gorgeous aromas of crushed cherries and berries. Vivid cherry and crushed granite. Floral and so wispy. 100% gorgeous. Palate is rich and ripe with wonderful freshness and dazzling purity. So elegant and lovely freshness. So delicate and lip smacking. Just what I needed. Such gorgeous ripe tannins and amazing crunch. Stunning. 9.4. — 5 years ago

Hi @Lyle Fass - the slider not working looks to be another iOS 13 hiccup. You can click on the slider to choose a rating. Looks like you’ve don’t that. The devs said another version is about to be submitted to the App Store. Lovely note btw. Will look out for this wine.

Butteaux Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2015

Some of the best deals in Chablis. This is a souvenir from a trip last October. Well balanced. Touch more rounded than some. — 5 years ago

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze

Bonnes Mares Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

Needs more time to mature. Solid tannins as opposed to the 2016 we had from another producer which was ready to go. Layers of flavors but all a bit disjointed at the mo. — 5 years ago

Honig

Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Hello Wednesday, the middle of the week and beginning the slide into the weekend. I stopped today and picked up a few wines to try. Tonight I have opened the 2018 Honig Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, a blend of 92% Sauvignon Blanc, 7% Semillon and 1% Muscat.

The nose reveals beautiful notes of lime, grapefruit, white peach, nectarine, white flower and herbs

On the palate are nice citrus and stone fruits, lime, grapefruit, white peach, honeydew melon, mango and minerality.

This is a nice medium bodied wine with medium + acidity that moves stealthily into a clean, crisp long citrus finish. Well, the week is closing out fast and we are staring down the weekend. Finish the week strong and the weekend will bring a plethora of joy. Please be safe and work wisely. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Viña Tondonia Reserva Rioja Blanco Malvasia Viura 2005

The 2005 Viña Tondonia Rioja Reserva Blanco is a sensational blend of 90% Viura with 10% Malvasia all sourced from the Viña Tondonia Vineyard. The wine was aged for six years in American oak barrels and then for an additional six years in bottle prior to release. The wine itself begins with intense aromas of salted pear, marzipan, smoked pineapple and hints of apricot all taking shape beautifully in the glass. Bright and intense, with a gorgeous mouthfeel, this wine delivers both a silky texture and lithe minerality. Hugely complex flavors of wet stone, green apple, smoke and starfruit all combine on the palate. Gorgeous and generous now, with an exceedingly long finish, this beautiful wine has decades ahead of it. Drink 2019-2038- 95 — 5 years ago

Enderle & Moll

Liaison Pinot Noir 2017

As always a treat and one of the best and most unique Pinot’s for 30$+. I had this wine now every year since 2009. There are always the herbs 🌿. Best described as Black Forest mountain meadow potpourri. This wild thyme nose reminds me of the thyme that actually grows in this area. The wine needs to breathe for at least 30 min may be more - uncurls and is then classic E&M which I think would be recognizable amongst 100‘s of other Pinot’s. Tart lingonberry, pomegranate, chalk and just a tiny hint of pine needles and orange zest. This bottling needs at least 2 more years to settle down. So fun to open and explore right now but really not a drink now wine! Yes Lyle was right closed as fuck in Feb! Still hard to judge 8 month later. — 5 years ago

The Alexander Valley Cab is light enough for a pork chop, still keeping a good amount of boldness. Great pairing — 5 years ago
