The dark black wrap around the bottle certainly makes this stand out. Deep gold in the glass. Powerful red fruit (raspberries) but also some tropical fruit (guava), and a toasty flair aromatically. Big rich and round profile on the palate with a small yeasty/leesy vibe, spiced pear, caramel apple, truffle honeycomb and limestone.

Style wise, this is kind of a grower champagne version of Bollinger’s Special Cuvée (similar price point too). Great with garlic fries! — 10 months ago

Unlike older Scarecrows, this vintage was ready to drink at the onset with its wonderful aromatics of currants, tobacco, and floral bouquet. On the pallet was an excellent balance of spices and dark berries. This full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon can't be beat when it comes to complex Napa wines. — 10 months ago

Linear, precise but with some weight. Perfect pairing wine. Lemon and citrus (mandarin orange juiciness) forward with creaminess and weight on the back. Mersault like but has a distinct pithy, citrus peel and umami character on the mid palate. — 10 months ago
