Afternoon sipping #alsaceriesling on vacation. Isn’t life grand? Pear and green apple, some petrol notes, green onion on the nose. Medium acidity, apple and pear on palate - begging for sushi, mild Asian food or even off-spicy Indian food pairings, yet perfectly at ease sipping solo. ~$17 at Total Wine with discounts: decent QPR for the sensory experience. — 4 years ago
Golden apples and lemons, tangy high acidity with just a pinch of residual sugar to give it that lemonade apple cider taste. #alsaceriesling #riesling — 7 years ago

This is your #riesling if you’re not a fan of the petrol / diesel notes, once this has had a chance to breathe a bit. While I don’t mind those, this is a nice alternative terroir expression - subtle floral and peach notes on nose. @Kurt Schuster is spot on with the crystalline descriptor. The palate is more about the luscious fruit texture backed by sturdy acidity and a touch of RS rather than a lot of complexity. Where else can you get #grandcru #alsaceriesling other than #costco for ~$18? — a year ago
