Vigne d'en Traginer Banyuls Grenache 2001

Over the hill with 2001 as time has not been friendly to this Banyuls. Very Brandy like and reminded me of a Cognac. The heat coming from this was surprising as most of the rest of the wine's character had dissolved into lithe fruits and spice. I have had a good 8-10 in my minimal tasting experience and likely prefer them younger if this is an accurate depiction at 14 years of age. #banyuls — 9 years ago
