Dark in the glass and not playing around. A shocking amount of structure here. Elevated tannin and acid working in tandem with brooding, peppery fruit and a streak of citrus lurking beneath. Pair with lamb chops or a dry aged ribeye. Showed best after a few hours open.

Starts out with an acidic overlay of figs, smoke, bark. As the acid abates the tannins rise, laced with vanilla. It likely needs to age further to find its richness.

Another classic Syrah on west coast better on day three. Violets, sticks, mint, olive, almonds?, blueberries. I get a strawberry mint on a savory grilled meat dish kind of flavor but zero smoke or burnt flavor. Outstanding!
