Fairly simple Chianti. Black cherry, ripe plum, spice and tobacco. Fairly dark color and soft flesh on the mid palate with very medium tannins. Perhaps a bit of Merlot in the blend?

Outstanding qpr - oregano and tomato leaf jump from the glass while dusty tannins hold it together thru the finish

I've always liked this Chianti. Maybe it is the birds. On the lighter side, glacier cherries, red berries, a rich of earth. One to drink with turkey!

For as dominant as the oak spice is on the nose this is one ripe, juicy, and soft wine. A bit of spice on the back end. Simple satisfaction that was an obvious pair for a cheese and charcuterie plate.

Cherry jam, cedar, tomato leaf and tons of iron rich soil. Palate is super composed, plenty of fruit up front with nice balanced acid and tannins. Solid bottle that seems to be relatively available. Would love to try older vintages to see where this goes.

Tasting on my on today. Great bevy of Italian stallions lined up. Muted nosed. Tart raspberries. Good, grippy finish. Taught, suggesting it needs more time to relax. Requires food at this point.

A good CC that hits the spot with or without food. Fair QPR. Silly little stubby cork; certainly not meant to age. Drink now and enjoy!

Totally changed how I see this grape. Like sucking on a filthy rock and demanding that I love it and I do, I really do love it.
