A gorgeous open knit wine. Soft edges of cherry and play dough and a deep cote of intense fruit with iron, dark plum. On the palate there’s blueberry and a s steeled minerality- the tannins are resolved and this is super intense and delicious with a beautiful balance. Long. Really good

So incredibly powerful yet soft and plush tannins. Aromas of roasted coffee, spearmint and desiccated berries. Can cellar for another 20 years easy.

So beautiful, fresh, and vivid. Cherry, tobacco, some leathery notes, and English Breakfast Tea. Medium-bodied. Clear, dark ruby. Gorgeous wine.

Black fruits, earth and barnyard that blew away after time in the glass, licorice spice and tobacco. Drinking beautiful showing great structure and weight. One of the great vintages for Montrose.

Gifted a taste from a guest who brought this in and it was superb. Red berries, dusty old boxes, earth, florals, this wine had a box for every note and you could check off every one of them. It was superior in terms of fine tannins and silken texture and was just amazing.
