A nice choice for an everyday old world. Typical earth, mushrooms and slate. Very young but serviceable.

Budget wine from the makers of Haut Brion.
Light to medium nose of black cherry, plum, and some spice. The fruit on the palate showed much better with some food. Medium palate of plum, cherry, tobacco and cocoa powder. Medium tannin, without much wood presence. Moderate finish. OK wine from a great vintage. Drink now as it is likely starting to loose some concentration.

Sep 17th, 20172009 vintage. Label says Inspired by Haut-Brion. More like a mild reflection of Haut-Brion. A little sharp at first, it improved after a half hour. Light bodied with minimal oak. An everyday quaffer.
