Couvent des Jacobins
St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend
2015 vintage. Tasting better every time. The truffles starting to show in the very attractive nose, loaded with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and delicate cedar wood. In the mouth it is a beautifully balanced, classic Saint-Emilion, that always remained true to its style. Having experience with older vintages, this should drink wonderfully over the next 30 years if well-stored. A terrific, totally underrated Grand Cru Classé. Abv. 14,5%.

Jul 26th, 20232015 vintage. 85% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 4 % Petit verdot. Only the second vintage with Petit Verdot in the blend from a plot planted in 2011. Classic old school Saint-Emilion, build to age. Don't expect a flashy wine, but an understated balanced gentleman.

Beautiful expression of fruit. There’s a velvet and plushness to the fruit. This year petit vendor was added and that made the wine more rounded. Drink now and enjoy it or wait five years and be rewarded
