Big blackberry and plum juice nose, beautiful pastry notes of berry tart, smoke, sweetness and funk. Grape juice and granite. A touch of black pepper spice and amazing mineral density. Burly but clean and satisfying. Some bitterness on the finish that should resolve with time, otherwise drinking really nicely.

2018 vintage. Last bottle of three and the best of the batch. Pity it’s gone. Great balance, fruit, structure and sense of wonder. Dense and world-destroying where necessary, lithe and playful filling in the rest.
