Nose is pretty with hints of cocoa, mocha, roses, tar, some tobacco. Deep, impressive minerality. Really elegant aromas of impressive depth and precision. Some fresh fallen leaves and cigar as well. Smells so compact and complete like most 16 Barbaresco. Palate is ridiculously great. Juicy fruit, slate like tannins, and super fruit pumps on the finish while also washing the palate with minerals. Nose gets going even more after air with just an ethereal perfume. Wow, what a palate, so dense, layered, with that slight hit of 16 opulence and then just terrific freshness. A big but elegant wine. Keeps opening and changing. Nose gets insane. Spice, vivid mid season cherry fruit. Wow. So so so so complex. What a showing.
