Santa Clara Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Sauvignon from Santa Clara Valley is very enjoyable. Showing black fruits with chocolate notes and earth, wood, spices, black pepper, cloves and orange peel.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Nice length on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 5 year old is drinking very nicely now.
Needs 2 hours to open up properly, and show some tannins, but good right out of the bottle too.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here's a great Cabernet from California.
Dark inky in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pronounced nose of blackcurrants, plums, sweet cherries, vanilla, oak, licorice, dust, light vegetables, spices, light alcohol, leather, chocolates, coffee, earth, peppercorn and bell pepper.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, currants, vanilla, wood, earth, vegetables, graphite, spices, bitter herbs, bell pepper and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Santa Clara Valley in California. Showing nice complexity with a soft and smooth mouthfeel. Big and bold, but very easy to drink.
Still young and needs a few more years in the bottle to mature. Still showing some alcohol.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly. Actually, it is earthier than I expected. With time, much of these vegetable notes will go away.
A nice wine to sip on with friends and talk about.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Outstanding qpr. Luscious and crowd pleasing, with plummy dark fruits, cocoa, trees, and some spices. Chewy tannins give way to a tasty wine. It’s a bit simple, but who cares for the price.
