Apr 10th, 2024Made with fruit from Tignanello estate, mostly Sangiovese with a splash of Cab Sauv, and a few others, aged in French and Hungarian oak for 12 months, cooler vintage than ‘17, lighter fruit character. Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits with notes of floral and sweet spices. On the palate flavors of raspberry, cherry and red plum with licorice, cacao and vanilla oak. Firm rich tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, toasty vanilla and earthy tobacco. Good now but will improve over next 5 years.

Jan 27th, 2022Solid chianti. Super tight to start then opened up. Fruity. Dark cherry, strong tobacco, plum, chocolate. Still grippy and young.

After it’s set free & allowed to Breathe ( one / one in a half hours ) & slightly chilled .
A must on our table with a Aglio pasta , crispy parmesan bake & steamed gorgeous seafood …. A great red with seafood & pasta for us …
We love to have it with just some Fresh Figs , goat cheese & cherries / dark chocolate bites on Crisp Melba toast
