Deep Ruby colour with smooth tannins and balanced feel on palate
Berries and spices to the fore with lengthy lingering aftertaste
Great expression of the Bordeaux style SAF is perfecting

Pine needles on the nose, typical mid-weight Bordeaux blend but done well. Pronounced minerality and a bit of sage on the finish. Lacks the lusciousness of a top end super-Tuscan, but easy to forgive because price/value is excellent. Edit: after half a day in the bottle, it developed a very interest burnt coffee beans punch.
