Bric dël Fiasc Barolo Nebbiolo

Lovely. Power and elegance. Roses, rose hip tea, shoe polish, rusted iron., funghi trifolati. Great 3 days after opening. Integrated front to back with lively, sinewy energy and teeth coating tannins. Winner.

From magnum. Maybe this was in a dumb phase but just unimpressive. Too tannic and too little fruit.

The very first Italian wine coming close to Napa perfumed wine. However tasting reveals the true age of this overperforming 04 Barolo. Highly recommended.

Still a little tight after an hour, but once it opened it was a complete gem. Still had loads of fruit, tannins softened and the long finish kept you wanting more.

Hosting a Barolo night. Wine #2. The wine of the night. Simply elegant. Glorious fruit and silky tannins from sip to finish. Simply put, this is a remarkable wine. FYI from the winemaker. Open 1 hr prior to serving and leave in the bottle. The bottle should be served at 65° and never left to warm to room temp.

Loved this last night. Balance of rustic and fruity in good harmony. Great vintage for sure!

2004 Bric. Terrific. Opened tight but so much better with food and a little air. The fruit is dissipating but the secondary notes are very strong now — leather, anise, pine needles, olive. I like where this is headed.
