At home trying all the different Penfolds MAX’S. Learned about the MAX’S during a visit to Penfolds in Australia last year. This was one of our “go to” wines while in Houston earlier this year. I think it was about $21 at Total Wine. Bought an assorted case from the Napa Treasury store for $15. They have the Shiraz Cab, a Shiraz and a Cab. The blend is our favorite.

Juicy robust and mildly tart. It hugs the tongue.

At Total Wine picking up some every day drinking wines that I’ve never had or haven’t had in quite awhile. I decided to grab a bottle of this Max for $17+. I saw this when in Australia last year and thought is must not have been a very good wine as it seems that the price in Australian $ was below $10. Brought a bottle back but haven’t tried it yet. This was a surprise find. Enjoyed with chicken pasta.

What a surprise! Really good wine, so fruity on palate, i dont even sense much tannins while its still have some carb sav on it. A little sweet but still fine.. give it 60 mins air and enjoy it! Drink now-2028. Cheers!

Jammy with a few purple flowers in the nose. Cherry cola on the palate. Smooth tannins and decent alcohol. Don’t get a ton of spice
