More structured and layered than the Vietti Barbera d’Asti. The 17 is still fairly tight - this could use more time. Nice fruit and breadth in mod-palate. Dark cherries and potting soil. Will try again tomorrow, see if it opens up.

This is just a great example of a well made Barbera. Cherry, plum, spices and some smoky notes. This has depth and structure for atleast 3-5 years of fine drinking

Dark cherry and the color to match. Thick bone in pork chop hanging out by the pool. Even in a pandemic this is an enjoyable day. Stay safe!!

Nice and savory, surprisingly supple. Good acids, leather, a little dusty, stewed cherry, cocoa, baking spice, faint tannins. Almost has a Nebbiolo tar quality. From Flatiron Wines.

Bright ruby red with ripe sweet cherry with a touch of vanilla and a herby whiff. On the palate this is elegant, yet bright & vivid with cherry acidity and a nice grippy backbone. After 2h in the carafe this is singing and very, very good friendly.
