Sep 23rd, 2024Sick, sick nose. Mushroom, green, herbal, so good, mint, leather, smoke, raw shittake, porcini, hummus, mulch, palate is so elegant and juicy, still youthful, playful and deep, inner mouth aromas, concentrated and deep. Inner mouth aromas, structured. Confectionary midpalate. Grippy.

Feb 16th, 2020Nose has wet hay tossed onto a fire, old dried out leather, warm lemon peel, fresh button mushroom and distant lemon oil, wow.
Palate has honey on oxidized apple slice, dried lemon zest, overly sweetened green tea minus the tannins and lemon oil drizzle on shredded coconut, amazing.
Decanted 4H

Nose is aged Mosel Riesling. Some petrol. Hint of lemon peel. God’s Lemon perfume. Elegant. Light. Gorgeous. So fresh. Ethereal.
Palate hits you with dense meyer lemon soda. A kiss of acidity but a light kiss like a first date romantic lingering peck. Balanced. Delicious. Long. A kiss of honey from bees that pollenate lemon trees. Very clean. No botrytus. Coats the palate with aged Meyer lemon juice.
Wonderful. Very distinctive. Not a modern bomb of an auslese. A different ballgame. Totally different from the green apple-driven Mosel wines.
Bought from Fass Selections.

Fragrant, luscious, mature fruit. Some pineapple and petrol. Absolutely classy. Good acid, not overly ripe.
Will live on nicely if not transform for decades.

Just concluded the annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again.
(Notes this year were avoided, but scores are honest.)

Bright yellow - no sign of its age. Lemon confit, lime zest, peach, honey, slight petrol, long finish, beautifully balanced ⚡️ Thanks @Lyle Fass
