Isole e Olena

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2020

Really quite nice, and a perfect pairing with a Tuscan style bistecca. Have wanted to try Isole e Olena for a while but I think this was the first time. Dark cherry, some dusty restrained tannins, excellent acid of course. Another nice 2020 Chianti. — 3 days ago

La Turque Côte-Rôtie Syrah

The “last” lala. A very big wine, salty, smoked meat. Approachable but will benefit from another 5 to 7 years in bottle. Potentially great. — a month ago

Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend 2022

Love this any time of year but it really cuts through the hot, humid summer weather we’re getting. Fruits rouges, plum, vanilla(?), and a very light salinity. Tastes like spring in the Alps. — 8 days ago

Isole e Olena

Cepparello Estate Bottled Toscana Sangiovese 2006

Tasted over 6 hours. Classic. One of the better Cepparello I have had, particularly with age. Classic Sangiovese with tart cherry, some plum, mint, and tertiary tobacco, with some floral and leather. Perfect acidity, mouthwatering, but the tannin could be a little more polished as they are a bit chewy and chalky at the moment. Med/med+ body, with a med+ finish. Very good and would buy more. — 22 days ago

Enderle & Moll

Spätburgunder Rosé 2021

Fruity, austere, and wild. One of the few Rose's you could spot in a lineup - distinct E&M natty twang in a lucid cherry crimson glow, a little bit candied, sour, and herbaceous.

Wild sour cherry, strawberries and cream, and dark green rosemary.

Cepparello Toscana Sangiovese 2014

Wild Smokey cherry flavor as if we threw this wine into a cherrywood smoke. Funky but good. — 4 days ago

Donnafugata

Mille e Una Notte Nero d'Avola 2020

Disappointing
Specially in relation to the price
This is the first important label from donnafugata, first release dates back to the 80s i reckon
It falls short, it isn't bad,but i reckon this would be in a wine shop 180/200 dollars
It must be better

Gigondas Red Rhone Blend 2020

Elegant, elevated even: deep black fruits, sub base drum notes of wet planting soil, so the earthy thing in a smooth, polished form. Enough juiciness & freshness to bring it home. — 2 months ago
