Deep black fruits aromas, a rich body but some definite tannins, the black fruit flavors come through with notes of licorice and violet. A good wine as the temperatures start to fall. — 4 months ago
Extremely balanced black fruits, licorice, vanilla and tons of milk chocolate. Rounded tannins. Just a really nice drop. Best dry red on the Portuguese trip. — a year ago
Lunch at Granja Vendrell w kids. Skin contact blend made from local varietals in Catalunya. Expressive, slightly herbal nose. Tannic and gently acidic. Can taste the amphora in this wine. — 3 years ago

Enjoyed this for years, but hadn’t seen it in a while and realized they changed their label - big time. Still great QPR: Tempranillo but darker fruit profile, licorice, earthy, swarthy, musky w/vanillin notes as well. Great complexity, enticing nose - equally delightful on palate, darker fruit but more like black cherry. Sturdy tannins, not elegant but provincial w/decent balance - just enough acidity to make it food friendly for charcuterie. — 8 months ago
Medium garnet core , quite narrow terracotta rim . Spiced earthy summer fruits, blackberry , cherry , blackcurrant , some herbal hints , vanilla , tobacco, grafite and iodine. On the palate this is quite fine boned , with refreshing acidity and medium ripe , rounded tannins , balanced alcohol . More herbal and dark fruited on the palate , blackcurrant , blackberry and cherry , spiced vanilla tinged dark cherry . Tobacco and grafite tinged medium length finish . Still drinking well , this is at peak now so drink over the next 2-3 years . — 2 months ago
