Magnum. Single vineyard from the Bussia Cru of Monforte d’Alba.
This is so much different than the Brandini single vineyard from La Morra. Much more powerful with still firm tannic structure. Shows more dark fruits, with fig jam, leather, cedar and licorice.

No formal notes . Medium garnet colour , some lightening at the rim but still youthful appearance . Aromatic from the beginning with spice , dried herbs , rose and red cherry notes . On the palate good depth and complexity , still quite a lot of red fruit to complement the herbal and anis notes . Fills out well and offers good length with quite polished tannins and balanced acidity . Drinking perfectly now , will continue well over the next 5 years or so . This was a positive surprise . — 6 months ago

Lovely Barolo having everything a Barolo should have: earth, tar, smooth tannins, balsamic.
