Not as dry as expected, satisfying fruity roses. — 5 days ago
Haven’t had in 6 months and it was closed then but wow the nose is wide open now. Gorgeous citrus, apricot, herbs and stones. Really aromatic and very compelling. Palate is very 21 with just “wake you up” acids, a chewy density, and maybe 70% mineral and 30% fruit. So pure and what a finish. This is much more open than in January. Unreal finish. Almost 2 minutes. Wow this is tangy, super juicy and ultra clean. What an amazing finish. Just gorgeous. — a month ago
Young, robust, very fruity. Lovely. With very good Piemontese cuisine at "L'Acino" restaurant, Torino. — 16 days ago
Never tasted this bottling before, I just hoped for a decent showing. Instead, it completely reshaped my view of Barbera.
Deep opaque garnet with a slight tawny rim. The nose is captivating with blackberry jam, fig, cedar, dry pine cone, worn leather, clove, and a hint of truffle. Seamless palate - full body with vibrant
acidity, supple tannins that still have firm grip, and a velvety texture. Long, elegant finish. Still has 5–8 graceful years ahead. By far the best Barbera I’ve tasted.
