Lazzarito Barolo Nebbiolo

Opened at 1 PM, started pouring into quite inappropriate glassware at 7PM.
Big shouldered, round, lots of carob hinting at dry cocoa, dark fruits. Tannins well integrated, many of the ‘16’s seem to be. Mouth filling. With protein very very nice. Brisket & lamb. Brown, blue and ochre on the nose and palate. A good number of years left I think.
No hint of over toast or barrel.
Very nice, especially with a varied long meal. long finish.

Had the 2022 in July of 2024. Really tasty little white. Lightly sweet with floral and citrus notes. Honeysuckle and hints of green apple. Was really tasty and hope to get this one again. — 3 months ago
