Deep Ruby color. Overripe fruit. A deliciously rich wine. — 6 months ago
Beautiful wine We had the 2016 vintage and it could have been cellared for a lot longer Must go back to buy some more — 2 years ago
Likely some bias as enjoyed it while in the Acores, but tried a bunch of arinto while in the Acores and Portugal proper, and this was the favorite by far. Simply delicious. — 3 months ago
Lovely! Just the slightest bit funky - super supportive of food! — 10 months ago

2020 vintage. Os Canivéis Letra F Douro tinto. From sister and brother winemakers Joana and António Maçanita. Letra F refers to the lowest quality vineyards for the production of Port wines, but the Maçanitas argue that there are hidden treasures among these vineyards with very old vines. This is a field blend of 11 varieties from a vineyard in Carlão, Cima Corgo with vines between 80 and 92 years old at an attitude of 510 m. with extremely low yields (1800 kg/ ha). Aged in neutral oak. Give it some time to open up. Floral nose with raspberries lurking in the background. Medium-bodied with bright red fruit, with a focus more on freshness and elegance than sheer power, even if it features a seriously tannic backbone. Good length with retronasal fruit and minerality. Tiny production of 666 bottles ( the number of the beast, so drink at your own risk!). Abv. 14,5%. — 2 years ago
95 % Vinhão (red grape), 5% Loureiro (white grape)
Don’t be fooled by the pale color, this wine punches above its weight class. Very tannic but opens up in the glass and tastes great with a saucy chicken dish.
*From 30 year old vines planted on 1 hectare of granite soils in Vinho Verde. Organic & biodynamic farming, spontaneous fermentation, stainless steel tanks. — 5 months ago
