This was sailing… meaty nose of rich burnt ends coupled with plum jam. Palate was viscous and mineral driven. S little too much acidity with a slightly citrus finish. Nice juxtaposition with the Siro, but this was always destined for second place tonight. — a month ago
Really special wine. Great balance and mouth feel — a month ago
Powerful and intense wine that suffered from a slight bit of taint. — 3 days ago
Succulent white wine made with 100% Falanghina grapes from the heart of Taburno territory. On the nose, very persistent notes of fruit, acacia and white flowers. Some baked pear, dried apricot, a distant citrusy is sensed as well. On the palate, it is definitely dry, mild-solid mouthfeel, and distinctive structure and a long but not overwhelming finish. Bright and alive, nearly cero or no MLF at all. This wine can easily age beautifully. Drink now or hold until 2027. — 8 days ago
An enjoyable wine all around although less so than other aglianico’s that I’ve had recently. Deep ruby in color with darker fruit on the palate (plum, blackberry). Oak notes of vanilla and spice were also present. A good pairing with prime rib. — a day ago
Solid Italy. Sharp tannin. — a month ago
Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant fruit, ash, smoke and leather. Sour red and black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of figs, black olives, woody herbs and black pepper spice. Nice hint of charred oak on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced and powerful. Better as it opened up so give this wine a decant. Solid QPR. — 2 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
100% Fiano, aged 6 months in stainless on its lees, lemon yellow color with aromas of tropical and stone fruits with nutty notes. On the palate flavors of melon, apple and pear with sweet citrus notes. Medium+ length, balanced with lively acidity, ending with fruit and flinty mineral character. Organic! — 9 days ago
