Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 8 months ago
Deep ruby in color; smoke, cigar box, and black cherries on the nose; medium acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like hibiscus, cherries, plums, and a little eucalyptus with a long finish. I didn't think I would like this wine based on the aromas, but I am really enjoying it. — 6 months ago
Deep purple in color; blueberries, plums, and dried flowers on the nose; medium plus acidity; high tannins, so tannic it's chewy; tastes like raspberries, violets, crushed gravel, and wet slate with a long finish. Well balanced flavors. I love it. — 9 months ago
