Crimson in colour. Sappy cherry aromas - earthy notes. Sour cherry flavours, juicy red fruits, some spice. Light to medium bodied palate and tannins. Apparently a little bit of Chardonnay goes into the blend with the Gamay. Obviously more a summer than a winter drink but curiosity got the better of me. I don’t drink much Beaujolais but this was highly recommended by Roscoe at Prince Wine Store in South Melbourne. Congratulations @PrinceWineStore for being named in the Top 10 Wine Stores in the World! Saw the list in the regular email I get from Acker in New York. Acker were #1 ; Berry Bros and Rudd in London were #2 . — 4 years ago
Been waiting for years to get back to London and bring this home as it’s only available at Berry Bros. & Rudd as far as I know. Remarkable mineral and acidic cut for a southern French white, like a Loire chenin but with a bit more heft and roundness. Green mango, bitter grapefruit, honey, pear, smoke and spice on the finish. Worth checking a bag for! — 3 years ago

Deep ruby color. Barrel aged nose with something like graphite. Black berry. Cherry. Jammy. Full body. Higher alcohol. Vanilla finish. Into a slightly coconut aftertaste — 4 years ago
#kermitlynch’s name takes top billing on this, and it’s a trend we’d like to see more of—importers/sellers bottling under their own name. They do it across the pond, and Berry Bros everyday claret is very nice indeed. Ditto Waitrose sherry. So what of this VdP Rhône? Much better than it deserves to be, a harmonious accord of fruit and tannin to be enjoyed on a Monday or any other night you please. — 6 years ago
