Plumb and cherry, slight tobacco. Sophisticated yet with some brightness, dry and clean on the finish. Spouse favors it over the vineyard's non-bio bottle — 3 years ago
Proper gamay, body, lush, berries. — a month ago
We visited there in the early summer of 2015 and now we got to try the fruits of their labor in the vineyard we witnessed at that time. A bio-dynamic vineyard with horse and plow 😁. Their wines are fantastic. This wine was richer in fruit and more expressive than perhaps characteristic for the Pauillac region. But the layers of earth infused flavors and the most subtle hint of ‘barnyard’ made it a sensation. Topped off with a grippy finish keeping the flavors lingering in your throat. www.spokenwines.com. — 4 months ago
Vintage 2019 | a favorite producer of mine. 100% Cabernet franc, vines 25 a 40 years old. Bio wine. It is so much fun to taste the difference between Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and for example Saumur Champigny. Pop and pour. Frivolous raspberry bouquet, gains expression with aeration. It’s not the power that catches the eye, but finesse and elegance. Medium weight. Lovely now, paired with ostrich stew and mixed vegetables from the oven. Happy. — 2 years ago
Great wine. Doesn’t pair well with Trader Joe’s orange chicken, tangerine la croix, and Whole Foods organic sweet tangerine Italian soda. — a month ago
Light, clean, hints of cherry. Nice with pasta, would also be enjoyed with a white fish — 7 months ago
The 2021 Grillo seduces with its sweetly floral and green citrus tinged bouquet, as crushed rocks give way to honeysuckle and lemon custard. A core of sour lime and melon tones add contrast. The palate is left reeling with mouthwatering tension and a lingering minty herbal streak. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2022) — 2 years ago
