Blason Louis

Perrier-Jouët

Blason Rosé Brut Champagne Blend

This lovely rosé is starting to show some age - I’ve had the bottle at least six years so understandable that it has toasty pastry and brioche notes along with a hint of hazelnut, dried cherry and candied raspberries. Very appealing - clean, crisp and refreshing. Very much the PJ style of medium-bodied wine and a lovely color approaching tawny. — 9 days ago

Château d'Issan

Blason d'Issan Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

This is such a great wine: I’m sorry I rushed it and had it after eight years. It could have aged another 10–15 years. Decanted it four hours before serving and it was still tight, although it opened in the glass. Served it with sous vide leg of lamb (finished on the grill) and roasted potatoes, and it was a match made in heaven. — 25 days ago

Louis Latour

Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay 2022

All of the grapes from the vineyards owned by the Latour family are vinified and aged in the cuverie of Château Corton Grancey in Aloxe-Corton. The winery was the first purpose-built cuverie in France and remains the oldest still-functioning. Medium pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits with a slight nutty floral character. On the palate flavors of peach and melon with lemon citrus and savory notes. Medium+ finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, toasty oak and minerality. Nice! — a month ago

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022

Bright ruby color. Aromas of black cherry, black currant and wet soil. The palate is full of black fruit, kirsch, black licorice and baking spices. Note of earthy dried mushrooms on the finish. Medium bodied and well balanced acidity. No sign of oak aging. Solid. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S! — a month ago
