Very good, not 100 pointer like some scores on release. Love the Napa ‘12s now and cant beat @bell&anchor. — 13 days ago
Delicate aromas of peach and apricot and Alpine flowers. Soft on the palate with balanced unripe peach tartness and a little honeysuckle sweetness. Danke, Deutschland! — 4 months ago
Something spec. Try it — 3 years ago
Strong acidity, firm, like an underripe peach and/or mango, depending on the sip. — 20 days ago
Here’s a dry, crisp white made from the Muscat variety (Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains), which is the same grape & has the same aromatic profile as the sweet, sparkling Moscato d’Asti wines of Italy, but was made in a dry, still & “French” style.
It was crafted by Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, an organic & biodynamic Alsatian producer, with fruit hailing from the Herrenweg vineyard of Turckheim, atop alluvial gravel & silt soils, in the sunny & dry Munster valley. ☀️🌱
Immediately I was struck by the perfumed bouquet of fruit & florals on the nose, which persist on the palate, featuring harmonious notes of citrus blossom, jasmine, honeysuckle, lilac, white peach, apricot, yellow apple, mandarin peel, beeswax, & wet stones. It’s dry, w/ medium alcohol, a medium body, balanced by a refreshing acidity.
It was a lovely pairing with the cucumber, watermelon, & feta salad, adding aromatic dimensions that complement the flavors of the salad, with a strong personality that doesn’t get lost in the shadows. Cheers! — 2 months ago
Delicious super rich and creamy loaded with dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, and some raisin. Big fan of these after today wanting to try their unique releases now. — 10 months ago
