Very nice sweeter styled Alsace Riesling. Big-boned and loose-moraled, the nose has lots of honey and petrol, with super-ripe golden delicious apple fruit. Full-bodied in the mouth: think more Sauternes in mouthfeel than Auslese. Dries considerably on the long finish. Very nice. — 4 years ago

Outstanding Alsatian Pinot Noir, from vineyards in Wettolsheim, next to Colmar. Precise nose with notes of red fruit, smoke, minerals. Fresh, lively, good acidity — 4 years ago

A rare bird from Cécile Tremblay - only one barrel made using 100% whole bunch and without sulphur; bottled exclusively in magnums. Opens with a floral and dark-fruited perfume that's quite captivating, followed by a concentrated and juicy palate. The wine offers excellent purity for me, which could be construed as being one-dimensional. I believe its rather closed at the moment, but L calls it "unemotional" which I think is simply too harsh. Finishes long and chewy. I could complain about the lack of minerally tones, but at midnight, this was an excellent night cap. — 6 years ago

Cloudy, golden yellow color with pale yellow edges and a medium body. Legs are loooong and slow, and the nose is all naturále. Slightly funky but big on the citrus, especially the lemon, with a big nose of ripe rind, and hints of salt and tart yellow fruits (star fruit and maybe Budda’s hand?). It didn’t start out that way, it was all natural wine funk at the beginning, but after an hour it opened up a lot and rested into its own. Palate has some sharp acidity, ripe lemon and almost cooked citrus fruits, kinda creamy and caramelized, with notes of brandy, apple cider like hints, vegetal notes (like celery?), creamy cinnamon sugar (like a coffee cake) even a little forest floor! The flavor and acid lingers long after your sip, and leaves a slight zingy flavor on the palate. Whew! — a year ago
