Just. A slight chill. Probably needed a bit more. Nice nightcap whole watching Jaws for the 800th time. That is probably an underestimate 😆. Been using a lot of basil lately. I am getting fresh basil. Blueberries. — 9 days ago

Savage Grace

Dineen Vineyard Côt 2020

New vintage, yummy blackberries and, er, tobacco. Becoming a favorite. After 30 minutes, a healthy dose of fine-grained skin astringency emerges. Tangy or slightly tart on finish, with plenty of mouth-coating skin tannins. Worth decanting a couple of hours — 7 months ago

Les Cailloux du Paradis (Claude Courtois)

Racines Vin de pays du Loir-et-Cher Red Blend 2020

Interesting wine, 13 grapes, natural without being annoying. Opens up nicely. Not overly heavy, nice balance. Fresh with good acid. Good suggestion from the fine folks at Joe Beef in Montreal, and a good pairing with the very rich food here. — 3 months ago

Mary Taylor Wine

Valençay Rouge Gamay Blend 2016

35% Gamay, 35% Malbec, 30% Pinot Noir
Rich red and black fruit aromas (cherry blackcurrant per the label) and undertones of flintiness. A rich body with tart cherry acidity, ripe blackberries, a lot of spices and flinty minerals to give it a dark side. Yum!!!
