Fourth of July wine. Medium-full bodied with well balanced tannins and acidity. Leather, blackberry, baking spices, vanilla, and apricot notes. Paired extremely well with smoked BBQ. — 2 years ago
Consistent… Per their style, juicy, and voluminous - tropical in format… Viognier in essence! Impressive that it’s held up for five years… Quality winemaking — 2 months ago
My wife and I thought it was excellent. — 4 months ago
Stunning… Beautiful concentration of a variety capable of dense blackberry beautifulness :) I would say I age this to perfection with patients! — 9 months ago
Among the Top 5 annually BEST CF’s in the old dominion. Rich but not over bearing or over-extracted. Fresh and energetic acid carry thru to the mid-palate, while enough wood tannin cleans up for the long red fruited jet stream. Ready for any culinary challenge, yet so sophisticated it can be sipped with marvel! — 3 years ago
This bottle was significantly better than the previous bottle I had… Fabulous mouthfeel, and fruit — 3 months ago
Toasting the new (and former) President’s recent Election Victory. Deep ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of black plum/currant/raspberry fruit with a touch of leather and smoke. Same fruits on the palate with touches of black pepper and dark chocolate. Medium finish that is a bit oaky and slightly bitter. A bit thin from a textural, tannin and mouthfeel perspective. Reasonable vintage. — 4 months ago
Drank it with a French guy who said it was great. Good enough for me! — 2 years ago
